Bernie Has The Enthusiasm But Does He Have The Math?

At last night’s CNN Democratic presidential debate in Flint, Michigan, a feisty Bernie Sanders went mano-a-mano with his opponent, Hillary Clinton. When interrupted by Clinton during his answer criticizing her support of disastrous trade agreements, Sanders turned towards Clinton, with raised hand, and forcefully said, “Excuse me, I’m talking.”

While the crowd seemed to be with Bernie, and some punches were landed, he did not deliver the knockout punch many pundits said he needed to turn around his prospects for a Michigan primary win this coming Tuesday.

RealClearPolitics.com’s most recent report of polling within Michigan shows Clinton leading Sanders by an average of 20%. While Michigan’s 148 delegates will be allocated proportionally, a loss of that magnitude would be devastating for Bernie.

Enthusiasm may get a candidate votes; the right number of delegates gets a candidate the party nomination.

Including superdelegates (the party insiders who can choose any candidate,) Hillary Clinton has a total of least 1,121 delegates, compared with at least 481 for Sanders. It takes 2,383 delegates to win the nomination.

The math does not look good for the Vermont senator.

Sanders has vowed to stay in the race until the Democratic convention in July. “I still think we have that path toward victory,” he said.

As I have said previously, short of a new scandal or the worsening of an already existing scandal, Hillary Clinton will be the Democratic Party’s presidential nominee.

But here is something to consider… the wild card in the Democratic presidential race, Elizabeth Warren, is still undecided as to which candidate she will support. If Bernie were to snag the Massachusetts Senator’s endorsement, it could be a game changer. And if this were to happen sooner rather than later, it may not be too late for Sanders to derail Hillary’s delegate-laden freight train.

A Sanders – Warren ticket, … every Progressive Democrat’s dream.

Why does the media keep showing Clinton with all the superdelgates? She hasn’t won them yet. If Bernie ends up with more actual delegates than Hillary, they will go with him.

The DNC, Democratic establishment and media have been in the tank for Hillary from the get go. It’s a way to discourage Sanders supporters.

Hil-LIAR-y’s indictment ever draws nearer, even as she and many of her Hillarots continue to deny overwhelming evidence to the contrary, so Mr. Sanders may not be out of luck yet. FEEL THE BURN!

Hopefully he shan’t have long to wait for the indictment to come down from the Hill, thus incinerating her insane bid for POTUS, and then it’s sweet dreams, whore!

No doubt, Hillary knows her way around the corridors of power.

No presidential candidate has ever been as defended as Hillary.

Hillary Clinton accepted millions of Dollars from foreign governments. While serving as Secretary of State, The Clinton Foundation (illegally) accepted boatloads of cash from countries that fund Hamas, harbor terrorists, suppress women, and regularly execute gays and lesbians. Conflict of interest much?

Hillary Clinton is a liar. I don’t mean this as political conjecture, but a proven, verifiable liar. She lied about the Irish peace process, her vote in favor of the Iraq war, her reason for illegally using a personal email server, that her family was dead broke when they left the White House, about landing under sniper fire in Bosnia, where Chelsea was on 9/11, who she was named after, Benghazi… and the list goes on. We don’t need a liar-in-chief. We tried that already. It didn’t work.

Hillary Clinton was MIA when the 3am phone call came from Benghazi. What difference does it make? The life of four Americans – a huge difference. The Russian Reset? Russia invaded Ukraine on her watch. Again. And again. And again. Boko Haram? Hillary Clinton’s State Department refused to call it a terrorist organization.

Hillary Clinton wants women to shut up. At least all of the women who tried to come forward regarding her hubby’s sexual harassment, misogyny and overall perpetuation of “rape culture“. She referred to these victims as “trailer trash” and even went so far as to threaten one of the victims in person.

So if you want to stump a democrat ask them to name one accomplishment of Hillary’s. The resulting oscillating silence will be deafening!

I’ll believe a Hillary indictment (for something) when it happens. I don’t want to get into a back and forth on Clinton … who will in all likelihood be the Democratic nominee … short of a new scandal or worsening of an existing “scandal” as I wrote in my piece. As you know I do not like her but do not believe she is the devil incarnate.
